How to measure the feeler gauge?

How to measure the feeler gauge:

1. The one side scale surface of the feeler gauge is in close contact with the reference surface.

   
   

2. Read the measured data on another scale surface.

Note: The feeler gauge must be perpendicular to the datum surface during measurement.
